The Big Kahuna Wing Festival celebrates the creation of the “Buffalo Wing” which became a national food icon. Invented in 1964 at the Anchor Bar by Teresa Bellisimo, it’s America’s #1 appetizer. Last year alone over 20 billion wings were consumed by Americas, 1.25 billion on Super Bowl Weekend alone.
Adding to the anticipation of Knoxville’s Big Kahuna Wing Festival (BKWF), officially for September 3rd, 2023, a full-lineup of some of Knoxville’s best talents have been tapped to support the 2023 event. The Worlds Fair Park in downtown Knoxville will host the festival just steps away from the historic Sunsphere.
