MgO & HEMP Building Fundamentals Workshop Week 1 2023 – CANADA

Saoirse Learning Center will be offering two [2] 7-day MgO and HEMP building Fundamentals workshops back to back (with a 2-day break in between). The first week includes an intro to building from the foundation through the completion of the project with an experience of framing, cast-in-place wall systems, roof finishing and other finishing demos including window and door installation and stuccoing and plaster.
From August 5th through August 13th we will be sharing our passion for Magnesium Oxide and Hemp as building materials and teaching the simple cast-in-place building method for a well insulated and sustainable wall system. We start with the lumber structure that holds the forms, discuss utility installation and then we are ready to pack the walls! After the walls are done we fill the rafters with hemp and deck the roof. Finishing includes window and door installation, MgO/hemp flooring options and stuccoing the exterior/interior.
We will close this workshop at 20 students, so don’t wait to sign up!
