Little Pioneers Homestead Adventures “Blacksmithing” – TX

The Gillespie County Historical Society and the Pioneer Museum introduce “Little Pioneers”, activities that teach children pioneer ways. Parents bring children age 10 and under to enjoy a different hands-on craft. Parents learn along with their children!

Please note that this is not a “come and go” event. The theme for October is “Forge Your Own Way!”. Trained blacksmiths will teach children about the history of the craft and then help the kids forge their very own creation. (Safety first! Please wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.)
