The First Annual Kentucky Sustainable Living Homesteading & Preparedness Festival is being organized out of a necessity to build skills in the homesteading and preparedness realms.
With the influx of families searching out the homesteading lifestyle, many are looking to acquire the skills to become self-sufficient in this unpredictable world. Our second goal is to build community.
KSL was started in 2019 as a state-wide community to make the homesteading and preparedness lifestyle accessible to anyone with the drive to do it. The festival includes hands on demonstrations in areas such as butchering, foraging and discussions about topics like marketing, land management and food preservation just to name a few. This festival looks to cover topics that are relevant to attendees.
